My fees for psychological evaluations and general psychological services are listed below. Evaluations are billed at a flat fee which includes time spent scoring tests and writing reports. Therapy, consultation, coaching, and follow-up services are provided at the hourly rate listed. My services page can help you decide whether a brief evaluation or a full evaluation would best meet your child’s needs.
I understand the financial challenges families face, and so I am pleased to be able to offer an income-based sliding scale of reduced fees for families earning less than $150,000 per year. I am particularly delighted to offer exceptionally low-cost evaluations for families earning less than $50,000 per year. I anticipate that the limited number of evaluation slots available at this rate will fill quickly, and that waiting times for these low-cost evaluations may therefore be longer than usual. Please contact me as soon as possible if you would like to be considered for one of these slots.
Fees for work booked after 5/1/2022:
Service | Standard Fee | Income $100,000 to $149,999 | Income $50,000 to $99,999 | Income below $50,000 |
---|---|---|---|---|
Full evaluation: learning disability, intellectual disability, ADHD, other complex conditions | $3,500 | $3,000 | $2,200 | $900 |
Full evaluation (see above) with in-school observation and teacher consultation | $3,800 | $3,300 | $2,500 | $1000 |
Brief evaluation: IQ or achievement testing for educational planning or program qualification | $900 | $750 | $600 | $300 |
Consultation/ Therapy/ General hourly rate | $225 | $175 | $125 | Please inquire; rates set individually |
In most cases I can offer a 10% discount to families scheduling brief or full evaluations for more than one child. For these families, follow-up services will be billed at the normal hourly rate, although it may be possible to combine follow-up for two or more children into a single hourly visit. Please note that I am unable to discount low-income evaluations any further, as the quoted rate is already far lower than local market rates.
Payment for services is due at the time of delivery. For brief evaluations and hourly services, you will be asked to pay for the service in full at the beginning of the appointment. For full evaluations, you will be asked to pay half the total fee at the initial appointment, and half at the interpretive interview when you receive your child’s results.
If you qualify for my sliding scale, I ask that you bring proof of income to your first visit. The first page of your most recent tax return is usually sufficient.
If you wish to pay by credit card, you may submit your payment to minds.in.focus@gmail.com via PayPal. Please be aware that if you are not a current client, payments made through this website do not establish a contract or a therapist-client relationship. The therapist-client relationship begins when you and I have thoroughly discussed my services and policies, when we both agree that I am a good match for your needs, and when you have signed a written consent for services.
